Awards for Families

Every volunteer makes a difference in strengthening communities and improving the quality of life for others. The following are awards available to those individuals or families who consistently give of themselves for the benefit of the communities in which they live.

Presidential Volunteer Service Award

The President’s Volunteer Service Award gives presidential recognition to individuals, families, and groups who have made a sustained commitment to volunteer service. The Award recognizes the best in the American spirit and encourages all Americans to contribute to their communities and our nation through volunteer service. To earn an award, individuals, families and groups must keep a record of volunteer activities and hours served. This Record of Service may be kept as a diary or calendar or tracked online and later submitted to “certifying organizations” for review.
