Participate in our Volunteer-a-Thon

Do YOU want to make a difference?

You've come to the right place! 

The Volunteer-a-Thon is a month long event taking place in November (around Family Volunteer Day) that allows volunteers to act locally and make a national impact.  As an individual, family, or group, you can sign up to volunteer with the participating nonprofit of your choosing.  At the same time, you fundraise, by soliciting sponsorships, in support of your efforts - much in the same way you would for a walk-a-thon.  Proceeds go to the nonprofit of your choosing to support local needs and to The Volunteer Family to strengthen the national family volunteering network.

The Volunteer-a-thon provides an unprecedented opportunity for volunteers to act locally and simultaneously participate in a larger movement to encourage and facilitate family volunteering.  Participants help local agencies serve their community's most pressing needs while simultaneously addressing the long-term needs of the larger community.
