Volunteering as a Group

If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity for your classroom, club, faith-based initiative, or other group, consider inviting the family members of the participants to help out with your volunteer project. Involving the rest of the family in your original project idea will not only increase the number of volunteers but will also help strengthen familial bonds.

The size of your group will often determine the project that you’re going to work on. Check with the organization, but it often works better to break down the large group into several smaller groups to achieve more and make the project more manageable.

Other Ideas for your Group of Volunteers

If you’re looking for ongoing project ideas for a group of young people, consider forming a Kids Care Club. Kids Care Clubs are groups of young people who work together to help people in their own communities and around the world. Kids Care Clubs post different service projects each month, including step-by-step instructions, compassion and issues education, meeting activities, additional resources related to the project and information on possible partners. For more information on forming a Kids Care Club, click here.

If you’re looking for a great way to get together with other families in your community with planned activities and potluck dinners, consider joining a Community Family Club, run by CampFire USA. For more information on the Community Family Clubs in your area, click here. here.
